Instagram Is Reported To Be Working On A Paid Subscription Feature Called Exclusive Stories
Some screenshots about this upcoming Instagram feature have made rounds online recently.
There will be a subscribe button on a creator's Instagram profile, too
Users may not be able to view a creator's story highlight soon because of Instagram's upcoming paid subscription feature called "Exclusive Stories". When regular users stumble upon an Exclusive Story, Instagram will tell them "only members" can view the content.
In case you didn't come across this tweet, a user on Twitter shared some screenshots and snippets of information about the rumored feature.
What we know about the Instagram Exclusive Stories according to software developer Alessandro Paluzzi:
1. It is not possible to take screenshots of exclusive stories.
2. The Exclusive Stories icon will be purple.
3. Even exclusive stories can be saved to a Highlight so fans always have something to see when they join.
4. When a user has a fan club, the subscribe button will appear in their profile.
According to a report from international tech blog TechCrunch, "Instagram confirmed that the screenshots of the feature recently circulated across social media are from an internal prototype that’s now in development, but not yet being publicly tested."
It was also reported that "the company declined to share any specific details about its plans, saying they’re not at a place to talk about this project just yet."
What do you guys think?
